About Recmix

Recmix of PA, Inc., recovers Reclime and stainless-steel as co-products from slag at two facilities in western Pennsylvania. Reclime® is an aggregate similar to lime, and can be used for both industrial and agricultural purposes.

Recovered steel is separated from the slag by grinding and separation. The stainless-steel is returned to steel producers, while the recovered lime is sold through a variety of channels.

We use no chemicals for processing the slag, other an an biodegradable flocculent. Process water is recycled internally in an environmentally sound process.
